**spoiler alert** SpeakEasy, the documentary film about the fear of public speaking and the Toastmasters World Championships of Public Speaking, has several scenes with mirrors. Scary!

We’re so glad you enjoyed the Prison Toastmasters clip we posted yesterday. However, we failed to notice a couple typos in the clip. This is the spell checked, perfect version of Prison Toastmasters. If you posted any comments yesterday about Prison Toastmasters, we love if you could repost them again. Thank you all so much for the great feedback!
Brian and our intern Beca edited this little promo/short from the prison footage we shot for SpeakEasy. It’s not going to be in the final film, so, I mean, we went and shot it for god’s sake, might as well do SOMETHING with it, right? So here’s a little glimpse inside the prison walls. We would like to turn this into a full blow feature about the Forgotten Voices, so if you know how to get financing for something like that…. cough cough wink wink… let’s do it.
Special thanks to the staffs and inmates at Louisiana State Penitentiary @Angola and California State Prison @Norco. And special thanks to Frances Morrison, the honorable Robert Downing, and Lt. Michael Brownell at Norco for all their help. Hope you enjoy watching and please feel free to comment on this clip. Thanks! Join our community!!! Sign up for the e-newsletter for updates!!!!

We’re in slash and burn mode now, cutting out nearly 45-50 minutes of the film to get it where it needs to be. Lots of tough decisions being made, but hey! them’s the breaks (and disc 2 of the boxed set!).
More info is on the way…

We’ve put up some pictures in the… wait for it… wait for it… “PICTURES” part of speakeasythemovie.com. Joshua Pickering has been our still photographer and overall moral guiding voice for the filmmakers throughout the life of the film- talking us down from anxiety attacks and enabling sugar binges and giving Brian neck massages while whispering soothing words of comfort in his ear. OK, maybe just the still photographer part. Yet we think he captures some fantastic images and we’re really proud he’s been a part of this. Awesome pictures, even better dude. Much respect, Brotha Pickering.
Enjoy!

Here’s some video of us being interviewed by 2001 World Champion of Public Speaking Darren Lacroix at the test screening. Please do not take note of our collar situation, nor our distracted, deer-hopped-up-on-gas station coffee in headlights look.
Not too long from now – as we rummage through the cutting room floor, through all the footage we so desperately know we want to keep but can’t, we are still making little edits here and there, and are going to posting them on the site intermittently. Keep a look out. Join the community!
