I agree Sandra's was great, but I liked Mo'Nique's as well. She was poised, confident , concise while emotional about her performance.

Looking forward to it - nobody believe me anymore when I tell them I'm in a documentary. Will they believe me when it comes out?

Engaging contribution. Presenting and public speaking is such a tricky subject for many people therefore just about any assistance to support them the way to cure their particular anxiety will be considerably valued. I would like to utilize this specific posting on the new public speaking web site that I'm building. Can you please let me know if this is doable. Thanks, Jane.

Jean:

What a small world. How did you run across this? I sent a copy to Beverly who may still be in Florida.

To repeat my message: Toastmasters is great and I look forward to seeing the movie.

How well I remember the debate team. During my senior year our team went to State. If I remember correctly our team placed that year, also. Correct me if I am wrong. loved this blog

Sure, his speech wasn't polished or prepared, but actually I liked it because it was very sincere. He engaged the audience, the presenters, and even his competitor for the award. Most especially, I liked how he said so little about HIMSELF and so much about everyone else in his team. If I were to choose between a flawlessly delivered, perfectly phrased, speech that focused on the speaker himself and this, I'd choose this any day. Needless to say, if we could have BOTH - flawless delivery and sincere recognition for the role that others played - that would be even better.

I joined Toastmasters, January 20, 2009. I competed in the Toastmasters District 32 Spring 09 Evaluation contest and placed first. I competed in the fall 2009 District 32 Table Topics contest and placed third. I competed inthe fall district 32 Tall Tales contest and place first. I enjoy Toastmasters and credit it for the speaker I am becoming.
